All scheduled activities are time-sensitive, and a 15-minute grace period will be observed. Punctuality is crucial to ensure a smooth experience. Additionally, conservation fees are non-negotiable and not included in the booking.
Please be aware that the facilities and activities within the Reserve carry inherent risks, including but not limited to:
1. Encounters with free-roaming wild animals, reptiles, birds, and insects in their natural habitat, such as Elephant, Hyena, Buffalo, Rhinoceros, Leopard, Hippo, Crocodile, Antelope, as well as poisonous snakes, spiders, and insects. Personal interaction with these creatures and entry/swimming in rivers and dams are strictly prohibited.
2. Risks associated with ingestion of poisonous plants, consumption of polluted water, and bilharzia. Refrain from ingesting unknown plants, leaves, or fruits, and avoid entering or swimming in rivers and dams.
3. Risks of heat exhaustion and sunburn. Visitors are advised to use sunscreen and increase fluid intake to protect against exposure to heat and sun.
4. Road accidents, as gravel roads, free-roaming animals, potholes, and erosion increase the risk. Drive at a safe speed, paying special attention to animals, potholes, visitors, and official vehicles of the reserve.
5. Drowning risks - refrain from entering or swimming in rivers and dams, and never leave children unattended in their vicinity.
6. Insect bites - use mosquito and bug repellent at all times to prevent bites from harmful insects.
7. Hazards and risks associated with rivers, streams, dams, and other bodies of water affected by unpredictable weather, tides, flooding, and other circumstances. The reserve may lack effective warning or control systems typically found in developed areas.
Despite efforts to maintain infrastructure, the visitor acknowledges the inherent challenges in the Reserve’s context. Visitors are fully aware of the real dangers and risks associated with wildlife areas and acknowledge the potential for bodily harm, illness, injury, death, or property damage.
Visitors voluntarily assume these risks, indemnifying the managers, associated entities, operators, landowners, and product owners of the reserve against any injury, illness, death, loss, or damage. This indemnity extends to claims on behalf of the visitor’s family, dependants, and accompanying persons. The indemnity covers any claims of whatsoever nature, and the reserve’s entities shall not be liable for punitive, indirect, consequential damages, loss of profits, third-party claims, or claims imposed by laws outside the Republic of South Africa.
Visitors warrant their authority to bind their family, dependants, minor children, and accompanying persons. Those with pre-existing medical conditions should consult their physician before participating in adventure activities and indemnify the Company against any adverse reactions.
The reserve, at its discretion and without admission of liability, may arrange emergency medical treatment for visitors. Visitors acknowledge the potential danger to children and accept full responsibility for their actions and safety, including any damage caused. To ensure safety and security, visitors voluntarily subject themselves to random searches, routine checks, and adherence to instructions from officials, managers, landowners, and reserve representatives.
